There’s only a week left until Christmas, and Sephora’s Fragrance for All is in full swing — and it’s full of popular fragrances that would make perfect holiday gifts.
The annual event, which runs from December 13-24, includes scents for nearly every type of fragrance enthusiast, including Glossier’s fan-favorite Glossier You Eau de Parfum, Carolina Herrera’s cult-classic Good Girl Eau de Parfum and clean fragrance brand Henry Rose’s Queens & Monsters Eau de Parfum. Throughout the event, full-size fragrances will be 20% off for Beauty Insider members, in-store and online. The Beauty Insider program is free to enter, and members can enter fragrance20 during checkout to activate the deal.
Sephora’s sale comes as fragrance sales are on the rise. Statista predicts the U.S. fragrance market will $8.72 billion in revenue by the end of 2023. And according to market research company Circana, fragrance usage in the U.S. is slightly up this year, with Gen Z accounting for the biggest increase — 83% of the demo wears fragrance, a 5% increase over 2022. The report credits factors such as TikTok as the driving force behind fragrance’s ascension this year.
“For this generation, their [choice] scent is all about their moods, fashion and outfits. It is about evoking a certain mood or scenario they want to play out,” Chriselle Lim, founder and creative director of the fragrance brand Phlur, said during Glossy’s Beauty x Wellness Summit in November. Viral moments from Sol de Janeiro and reports of growth in the fragrance categories of prestige brands prove Gen Z is more explorative than other demos, when it comes to sticking to signature scents versus building their fragrance wardrobes.
