For five seasons, the men’s week hosted about 65 designers during the months of January and July, including legacy brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Perry Ellis, as well as a crew of emerging designer names. But, less than three years after the first NYFW: Men’s event premiered in July of 2015, the event as its own fashion week platform has been narrowed down to a summer event. While NYFW: Men’s will return on its own in July, more than a full month before New York Fashion Week’s September shows, the January season has been reattached to the main New York Fashion Week schedule.
