In August 2024, actress Blake Lively debuted her hair-care brand Blake Brown, a joint venture with Give Back Beauty, which also incubated Florence by Mills with Millie Bobby Brown. With its focus on product fragrance and hair masks, rather than conditioner, the brand became Target’s biggest-ever hair-care brand launch. In its first three and a half weeks on the market, Blake Brown earned close to $5 million.
Since then, Blake Brown has launched new products, increased its repeat purchase rate by 80% year over year and ridden a wave of interest in hair care — and hair mist, in particular. The category has become increasingly popular over the last year, with sales of hair and body mists reaching a combined $474 million in the prestige market in 2024, according to data from Circana.
We’re excited to have Lively speak about the evolution of Blake Brown at Glossy Pop NYC on September 5. The event will also feature immersive brand experiences, opportunities to network with influencers and industry pros, and a gift bag worth over $800, among other highlights.
