This profile is part of the Glossy Pop Guide to Influencer-Founded Brands, covering the fashion, beauty and wellness companies started by people who built their careers on social media.  More from the series →

After Tezza Barton graduated college, she started publishing her photography online. As her photos gained attention, Barton’s career gained traction. The Instagram she’s used to document her photography, fashion and lifestyle journey now has more than a million followers. Barton wanted to help like-minded people discover their creative side, which led her to create her own photo-editing app, the Tezza App. In 2021, she also launched the vintage-inspired sunglasses brand Lello, with the aim of providing a luxury look for less.

Who: Tezza Barton (Lello)

Platform: Instagram

What are you known for & how did you get your start?
I am known on Instagram for my fashion and photography aesthetic. I started my photography business after graduating college and have since shot campaigns for high-end brands, created my own brands and launched the Tezza App, a photo and/video editing app for mobile devices. I believe my following grew from my willingness to share my creative process and desire to help others get in touch with their creative side and explore ways to bring fashion to life through visual storytelling.

What’s the brand: sunglasses

Find it: LelloTheLabel.com

Why did you decide to bring a brand into this crowded marketplace?
I see sunglasses as the perfect start or finish to an outfit — the essential accessory. I’ve always had a love for all things vintage but had trouble finding the perfect vintage pair that could stay in my arsenal for years. LELLO creates vintage-inspired, affordable frames with designer quality that can stand the test of time and are accessible for a wider audience, beyond just vintage shopping aficionados.

What makes the brand different?
LELLO uses high-quality materials, direct from the same suppliers that many luxury brands source from, as well, but without the heavy retailer markup.

Fun fact: Our triangular cases allow for the case to be flattened down when you’re wearing the sunglasses to save space in your bag.

Best Seller: The Jane in Seashell Torte
