Iskra Lawrence, Saltair: Influencer brand to know

By Sara Spruch-Feiner
Feb 28, 2022

This profile is part of the Glossy Pop guide to influencer-founded brands, covering the fashion, beauty and wellness companies started by people who built their careers on social media.

Who: Iskra Lawrence (Saltair)

Platform & Following: Instagram (4.9M followers), TikTok (1.2M followers)

What are you known for & how did you get your start?
I’m known for being a body acceptance advocate and encouraging brands to go unretouched and take responsibility for their impact on body image. I was the first Aerie real role model and helped the brand grow to a billion-dollar business in 7 years. [I was also the] first curve model to walk for L’Oréal in Paris fashion week.

What’s the brand: Body care

Find it: WWW.SALTAIR.COM

What makes the brand different?
Saltair brings skin care-inspired ingredients to body care, with fragrances that are so evocative, you can switch them up depending on your mood. Each of the seven body washes also has a unique focus, in terms of one’s skin care needs, so you can choose your product based on skin concern, too. Each of the body washes in the initial launch is $12. Inclusivity and sustainability have been a focus since day one, and the painted aluminum bottles are very unique to the brand.

Fun Fact: We put skin-care ingredients typically used in facial serums into a body wash. The first time I tried it and left it in the shower, my baby tried to eat it because it smelled so good.

Best seller: Santal Bloom Serum Body Wash
