These are the brands that have responded to the threat to Roe v. Wade

On May 2, the Met Gala was interrupted by breaking news from Politico. “Supreme Court has voted to overturn abortion rights, draft opinion shows,” read the headline. If Roe were overturned, 26 states could quickly ban abortion, including 13 states with laws that could immediately go into effect.

In the days that have followed, a small group of brands have responded.

For its part, Levi Strauss & Co. announced in a statement on Wednesday that it would reimburse any employees needing to travel for healthcare services, including abortions, not available in the state in which they lived. “Given what is at stake, business leaders need to make their voices heard and act to protect the health and well-being of our employees. That means protecting reproductive rights,” it said. The full statement can be read here.

Ritual, which makes multivitamins among other supplements, posted a statement on its LinkedIn page.

Below, find the brands that have taken to Instagram to make a statement — a modern press release, of sorts.

Glossy will continue to update this story and report on how brands in the fashion, beauty and wellness spaces respond in the coming weeks.
