Batsheva Haart, daughter of Elite World Group co-founder Julia Haart, is one of the breakout stars of this summer’s Netflix hit “My Unorthodox Life.” But Batsheva was already a social media standout before the show’s July premiere. Today, Batsheva has 445,000 followers on Instagram and 1.4 million on TikTok.
The show follows Julia Haart and her four children after leaving the orthodox Jewish community they grew up in. Batsheva Haart was seen all over fashion week and creates content around her favorite beauty products and clothing regularly. Her most recent project is a collaboration with Toronto-based clean makeup brand, Evio Beauty — she curated a kit of her favorite products from the brand. It includes a lip liner, gloss and multistick, for $48.
Evio was founded by Brandi Leifso, who came up with the brand while living in a shelter for victims of domestic violence. “I ‘met’ Batsheva the same way most of us did, watching ‘My Unorthodox Life’ on Netflix,” Leifso told Glossy. “I was inspired to reach out to her after watching the show because it was the first time I had seen someone on reality TV the same age as me that had through such polarizing change in her life.”
We chatted with Haart about her work with Evio, her best makeup tips and who she loves to follow on social.
Being on TV and social media, what are the best makeup tips you’ve discovered?
For TV and filming, you need to wear more makeup because the lighting hits differently and can drown you out. For social media, one of my favorite things I’ve learned is how to contour my nose — down the sides and on the tip — and how to apply concealer to lift the appearance of my eyes: Place it on the inner and outer corners of your eyes and dab it around your brow.
How did you discover Evio?
I was sent their products in a PR package and really liked them. And I aways got asked about the lip color I was wearing when I would wear their products. I wanted to work with them because I am a true fan and I love what the brand stands for: kind, conscious and affordable beauty.
What are the products you can’t live without?
Lip liner! I love the Val liner. Plus, Evio Velvet Color Stick for lips and blush, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara, and Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer.
