Designer Christian Siriano appears to be the breakout star for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie.
While he’s not starring the female-led reboot, he’s basking in positive attention after comedian and one of the film’s actresses Leslie Jones tweeted that no designers offered to design a dress for the premiere.
“It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything,” Jones tweeted Tuesday afternoon. Siriano replied minutes later with two emojis signaling his interest.
“YAAAAAASSSSSS,” Jones replied with much excitement. She was thrilled with Siriano’s offer but later tweeted she suggested that she would put the designers that ignored her “on blast” and “they will not get my love later.” (She has not yet revealed the designers.)
Siriano, a previous winner of Project Runway, is well-known for dressing curvy actresses, including Jennifer Hudson, Christina Hendricks, and Orange is the New Black star Danielle Brooks.
“I love Leslie and I’m a huge fan of her work. I can’t wait to create something special for her to wear,” Siriano said in a statement to The Huffington Post. “Hopefully I will see her in my studio this week to make something new and exciting… I support all women no matter age or size!”
It shouldn’t be exceptional to work with brilliant people just because they’re not sample size. Congrats aren’t in order, a change is.

Jones won’t be attending the July 9 premiere without jewelry either. Diamond company Hearts of Fire offered the Saturday Night Live star “some sparkle for the [sic] premier,” to which she graciously accepted.
