The booming business of wellness deserves a dedicated focus.
That was our reasoning for evolving our approach to wellness coverage this quarter. Formerly a subcategory of beauty, we strictly focused on the category when wellness brands or products impacted beauty — by, for example, taking up space at Sephora. But wellness will now be the focus of Glossy stories, as well as a dedicated weekly briefing providing a snapshot of the newest need-to-know product innovations, longevity studies, fitness trends and companies built on wellness-catered services.
The wellness movement is impacting all of our focus areas, in fact, with smart accessories showing up on fashion sales floors and convenient activewear-meets-ready-to-wear being prioritized in apparel product assortments.
And it doesn’t just stop at fashion and beauty.
Still, you can expect our wellness coverage to retain the usual Glossy lens, focusing heavily on premium and luxury products and services as we unpack the latest in holistic wellness.
Overall, there’s a white space for business coverage of the wellness areas of nutrition, including supplements; fitness, including boutique clubs; and women’s health and longevity, among others. Meanwhile, this business — focused on feeling good, living longer and boosting beauty from within — is thriving. And, thanks in part to younger generations having greater exposure and access to health and wellness information at an earlier age, it shows no signs of slowing down.
Glossy is excited to spotlight the successes and strategies of wellness leaders, as well as the business opportunities in the space and the wellness news with broader implications. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be announcing a Wellness Advisory Board, members of which will serve as sources and help guide our coverage. You can also look for wellness-focused Glossy events in 2026.
The Wellness Briefing, by Glossy West Coast correspondent Lexy Lebsack, will keep you up to date on all of these announcements, along with the big wellness stories of the week. The first iteration, published today, unpacks the growing industry being built around wellness data. Glossy+ members can read it here.
