Matt Cleary leads the enterprise retail sector at TikTok, focusing on ad solutions and partnerships between brands and the platform. The brands range from mass to luxury and include those under the Richemont umbrella which have grown their presence on TikTok in the last year.
Since receiving a $40 million growth equity investment in January from venture capital firm Provenance and Silas Capital, Makeup By Mario, founded by celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic in 2020, has been in growth and expansion mode. Dedivanovic got his start as a makeup artist at Sephora and rose to instant fame in 2008 when he met Kim Kardashian and became her makeup artist.
The former J.Crew executive creative director, Jenna Lyons, made headlines this year by becoming a cast member of the 14th season of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” In 2020, Lyons said she didn’t ever want to do reality TV, but it was her 3-year-old eyelash business, LoveSeen, that made her reconsider.
Since being appointed president of cult shoe brand Ugg in 2022, Anne Spangenberg has been busy. Ugg’s sales in the second quarter of 2023 reached $610.5 million, a 28.1% jump year-over-year and nearly 56% of parent company Deckers’ total earnings. And it’s not just new products making Ugg the shoe of the year — resale platform StockX recently named it the fastest-growing brand in its shoe category.
As a stylist, Shiona Turini has worked with some of the most influential women in pop culture. But her greatest achievement has been styling Beyoncé. Turini has worked with Beyoncé since the singer’s “Lemonade” album release in 2016. In 2023, her crowning achievement was styling Beyoncé throughout her Renaissance Tour, including her onstage costumes and offstage looks.
Behind every style icon that has emerged in recent years, there’s likely a stylist. And that stylist is very likely Erin Walsh. Walsh, who describes her role as “a translator” and “a storyteller,” can be credited with the fashion glow-ups of celebrities including Anne Hathaway and, this year, Selena Gomez.
Janet Wang leads the Tmall Luxury Pavilion, the Chinese shopping giant Alibaba’s luxury shopping platform. Launched six years ago, Tmall Luxury Pavilion has become China’s leading luxury digital platform, selling over 200 luxury brands worldwide. This year, more than 80 million Tmall shoppers have browsed or added luxury goods to their carts more than 10 times.
