Il Makiage, Rothy’s and Net-a-Porter lead the nominations for the 2019 Glossy Awards, which featured a handful of new categories including Best Digital Experience, Best Non-Digital Marketing Campaign and Best Loyalty Program.

Luxury fashion destination Net-a-Porter is up for Best Influencer Campaign, Fashion and Best Product Launch Campaign for The Vanguard, a mentorship program that places an official title on the 19-year-old brand’s commitment to fostering emerging talent. Through The Vanguard, four designers are chosen each season for a mentorship that covers building blocks for a successful brand, including buying, strategy, social media, and marketing and PR.

Also making multiple appearances on the shortlist is self-proclaimed defiant beauty brand Il Makiage, which is competing for the top spot in Best Brand/Agency Collaboration, Best E-Commerce Experience, Beauty and Best Non-Digital Marketing Campaign. When the DTC brand relaunched in the U.S. last June, it made a big splash in New York City with billboards and subway ads featuring nothing more than bold, white headlines on black backgrounds.

Influencer marketing continues to be a force for driving brand recognition and sales. In the past year, brands like Aerie, Ipsy, Marc Fisher and Coty Luxury showed their strength in the space through well-thought-out campaigns featuring some of the industry’s most recognizable faces. Up for Best Influencer Marketing Campaign, Fashion are Collectively and Rothy’s, who teamed up for #inmyrothys to drive awareness for the eco-conscious footwear brand. Rothy’s is also up for Best Sustainability Initiative and Best Breakthrough Startup, Fashion.

This year’s winners will be announced at the Glossy Awards gala on June 12 at Current in New York City. Tickets to the gala are available for purchase here.
